Alma Tepec Rare Pasilla Mixe

The Alma Tepec Rare Pasilla Mixe is a top-shelf mezcal from Mexico's Oaxacan region. This spirit is made in small batches using traditional methods and is made with 100% Espadín agave, harvested from the hills of Tepec where an ancient variety of Pasilla Mixe, a chili pepper, is smoked. The agave is cooked in traditional ovens, crushed using a tahona stone wheel, and fermented in oak vats. The result is a smooth mezcal that has a unique flavor, with spicy smokiness and a sweet finish.
